LA DOLCE VITA

For our third chapter of Dope Elope, we went bold, bright, and impossibly sweet for our SEVEN lucky couples. La Dolce Vita — the good life, the sweet life — was our ode to Italian summer indulgence, reimagined in Canberra.

This edition was all about living fully and celebrating love with colour, style, and ease. Inspired by grande Italian summer vibes, La Dolce Vita embraced vibrant pops of colour, modern twists, and that unshakable sense of fun that comes with good food, good wine, and good company. Think Aperol in hand, tables overflowing with florals and feasting, golden light pouring across vineyards, and couples soaking in every detail without lifting a finger.

At the heart of it all was an incredible installation by Peony N’ Pearl – not just florals, but a decadent, layered design of fruits and vegetables in the richest tones of the season. Deep reds, sun-drenched yellows, and vibrant oranges spilled alongside glossy aubergines and tumbling grapes, woven seamlessly with lush blooms. The effect was abundant, joyful, and just a little wild, like stepping into an Italian marketplace, bursting with life and colour.

As always, Dope Elope delivered more than just a wedding day. It was a luxe, mini-festival of love — all-inclusive, stress-free, and filled with the kind of trimmings couples usually dream about but rarely get to enjoy all at once. Our handpicked team of wedding legends styled, planned, and created every moment. All couples had to do was show up, say “I do,” and revel in their very own slice of dolce vita.

What made La Dolce Vita so special was the energy it attracted. Our couples were modern romantics: lovers who wanted intimacy without compromise, who valued experience over expectation, and who were ready to celebrate in a way that felt indulgent but effortless. This edition proved again that elopements aren’t about doing “less” they’re about doing more of what matters.

Looking back, La Dolce Vita was the perfect evolution of the Dope Elope story. Springtime Splendour brought the colour and play, Fall Into Romance gave us mood and refinement, and La Dolce Vita added the vibrancy, indulgence, and abundance of a true Italian summer. Three unique flavours of celebration, all created for extraordinary lovers.
